In April 2012, the Women’s Learning Group received a Building Stronger Neighborhoods grant from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. The project money starts in April and ends in October, 2012. Although the money ends in October, we hope classes, and community gardening and talking continue.*
*UPDATE: Since October 2012, the Women’s Learning Group members voted to continue. Using funds they raised from their summer food garden tours, they paid for rent and supplies to use their neighbor’s home as a meeting place and to open a table at the farmer’s market.
